A Community Made Initiative

At Community Made, our goal is simple but powerful: to strengthen East Oak Lane through connection, collaboration, and community-driven action. We work to create opportunities where neighbors support neighbors, local voices are heard, and resources are shared for the benefit of all.

Friends of Ellwood is one of our core programs, dedicated to bringing that mission to life at Ellwood School.

Our mission is to partner with parents, teachers, and community members to make sure Ellwood’s students, families, and staff have the support, supplies, and joy they need to thrive.

From beautification projects that make school grounds welcoming, to classroom care that lightens the load for teachers, to community events that strengthen school to family bonds, we focus on creating an environment where every child feels valued and every family feels connected.

Friends of Ellwood is more than just a school group, it’s a bridge between the school and the wider East Oak Lane community. Every volunteer hour, every donated pencil, and every partnership brings us closer to a thriving Ellwood School where learning is supported, families are engaged, and community pride runs deep.
